Alive is an application design firm. Our vision is to make the world work better. We create new experiences by taking a mobile first approach for designing better business processes. We put people at the centre of the design process, and see the designs the way things work, not just the way they look. Put simply, we deliver technology that stays alive.

Chris Gabriel, Chairman
At Alive, we know there are three things that make us unique. Those three things are our people, our process and our space. Our people love what they do. They are passionate about what they do. They’re curious and they’re focused. Our process is unique and it looks very, very closely and it pulls apart a business and understands the business at a design level, in terms of the way things work and helping a business to be more efficient, more productive and to be a better place to ultimately work in. And finally our space - our space, as you can see from our environment, is all designed to help people to ideate and to understand and be creative in their roles.
Luke Harvey-Palmer, Chief Executive Officer
User experience is also about great design, design isn’t just about how something looks and feels, but it’s how it works. Truly great mobile design is invisible; it doesn’t get in the way so it anticipates what you need and where and when you need it.
Kim Grantham, Chief Creative Officer
The way alive works for business, is that we try to first understand the need, understand the users, understand the why and once we understand that, we then work with the users to then start to find an easier solution for them, the easiest way that they connect to the data.
Julian Robertshawe, Chief Technology Officer
I’m engaged through our mobile business design team. That team consists of UX, UI, design and business analysts. The main purpose if that is to firstly understand the challenge, the challenge that we’re trying to address, then to understand the end user. We work back to the technology from there.
Tony Ockleshaw, Head of Strategic Sales
At Alive we take the mobile first approach to creating better business process. The first phase is where we get a really good understanding about your business – your objectives, challenges, competitors, the industry, your customers as well as your employees and we really get to understand what is working for them and what isn’t. The second part of the design thinking process is where it gets you really exciting. This is where we apply design thinking to improve your process. So we work on ideas, brainstorm, vision, sketch and from that, we ensure that we create the best user experience possible.
Sha-mayne Chan, Head of Business Design
At the end of each cycle, we get the customer to come in, to actually play with the product. The product might not be perfect but you know what, they can play with it, they can look at it, they can feel it, they can experience it and what we take out of that, their feedback is we might change our next development sprint to produce something that they were looking for or something they’d like to see earlier, for them to understand it.
Peter Cummings, Head of Production
Our customers see us as a partner, rather than just another service provider. It insights a lot of the analysis skills of reporting that can be provided through our analytics products, gives customers the ability to do such things as the level of engagement they are having within their mobile applications.
Simon Torsellini, Head of Experience
2014 will see alive scale throughout Asia and beyond and announce significant partnerships with leading global players. We are about making history. We are curious, we are focused and we are energised. We are Alive.
